TEAM TIME TRIALS- SATURDAY, AUGUST 10THfullsizeoutput_bb00

The first time trial will be held Saturday, August 10 at Garrard Landing Park in Roswell.  This is a 2-mile run where the athletes will be timed.  This is an exciting event to watch the athlete’s hard training over the summer come to fruition.  All athletes must attend.  A breakfast for athletes and parents is held immediately following the time trial.  Please RSVP and signup to bring items for the breakfast HERE.
Athletes – please arrive at 6:45am.  The time trial will begin at 7:30am.

PARENT/ATHLETE ORIENTATION MEETING:images

The coaches and the board will hold an important meeting Thursday, August 15 for all parents in the RHS auditorium.  Meeting starts in the auditorium at 6:00. Athletes should be dressed to run as they will be dismissed from the meeting and practice will start at 6:30. Meeting will continue with parents only.

Coaches and booster club board members will be discussing team schedules, upcoming meets, athlete expectations, Covered Bridge, volunteers and lots more. Uniforms and items ordered will be handed out at this meeting. The team has a meet the next day, so it is very important to attend.

Changes to this schedule will be communicated from coaches through Team App.

Roswell XC Spirit Wear is now on Sale!!!!

Get your T-shirts, hats and visors!  Show your team spirit while on meet course sidelines. There is a one week window to place orders. Last day to place an order is Saturday, August 10th. The booster club, (Major kudos to Raquel DeCamp), will be submitting the order on the 11th and will be receiving items within two to three weeks. Items will be distributed at an XC meet.

Coaches Corner:

 

  • Official practice has begun. Practice is mandatory for meet participation. Please contact coaches asap if an absence is expected. Our first meet is August 16th and every practice counts.
  • Roswell High School Athletic Department requires each athlete to pay a $75.00 participation fee for each sport and for each season of that sport they play. This fee is collected by the school and used for XC. This fee covers electronic timers at meets, state meet fees, etc. Coaches will explain the requirement in further detail at the Parent/Athlete meeting. If you haven’t already paid, please go to Fulton County online school payment site and check that off the list!

 

BOOSTER CLUB UPDATES:

Reminder: Booster fees are past due for returning runners. Please submit ASAP. Vicki Manus has contacted most of those who have not paid.

For those of you who are new to the team, you might have paid the $150 deposit early this summer. If so, your balance is due by Aug 16.
